International Dance Supplies (IDS) is excited to announce the launch of The Step Up Scholarship investing over £100,000 into dance teacher education over the next two years. This bursary is a groundbreaking initiative designed to enhance dance business education and support UK dance schools to grow and prosper.
The Step Up Scholarship provides financial assistance to dance schools by contributing towards the cost of education provided by the UK’s leading dance business coaches. This initiative is part of IDS’s ongoing commitment to fostering the growth and development of the UK dance community.
IDS will be partnering with Sarah Gittins (The Dance Den), Deborah Laws (Dance Business Lab), and Louise McHendrie (The Dance Business Academy).
“We are thrilled to introduce this scheme, which will not only support dance schools financially but also enhance the quality of dance business education available to studio owners.” said Clive Gilbert, Managing Director of International Dance Supplies Ltd. “By partnering with experienced dance coaches, we aim to enable valuable resources and opportunities for dance schools to thrive.”
IDS will contribute £50 per month towards the cost of each subscription with participating dance coaches. IDS has committed to support a minimum of 200 studio owners in the first year of scheme, and to contribute towards up to two years of education.
The scheme is set to launch on January 1, 2025, and will run for an initial period of two years. Eligible participants must be Dance School Principals who have never previously had a paid subscription with a participating Dance Business Coach.
