GYMNASTIC DANCE
The Gymnastic Dance syllabus is designed to develop strength, flexibility, agility, co-ordination and technique, incorporating gymnastic tricks with dance.
This style of dance produces inspiring performances for the dancer and the audience, also introducing the use of ribbons, balls and hoops and tumbling movements. Teachers are encouraged to select contemporary music and choreograph routines which are attractive for their students.
We have 5 grades preceded by Class and Preliminary examinations. An Intermediate vocational examination and an Associate teaching qualification are also available.
The other genre examinations include Juvenile, Junior and Senior medal tests, Rainbow Awards, Annual Awards and Theatrical Awards.
The work is designed to encourage all students develop confidence and dance quality together with increasing flexibility and mobility.
The syllabus is validated by Ofqual and Ucas points are available for the Intermediate qualification.
